New minimally-invasive procedures that provide patients profound relief of sinus pain and decrease the risk of sinusitis, or sinus infection, are being developed and used by the physicians of the Atlanta Snoring Institute. Techniques such as balloon sinuplasty clean blocked and congested sinuses without having to remove any bone or tissue like traditional sinus surgery (http://www.atlantasnoring.com/minimally-invasive-sinus-surgery.html). I’ve gotta say it’s really great to see the less drastic measures getting more press.
Whether it’s a neti pot (great first step if you encounter sinus trouble!) or balloon sinuplasty (reported to be less invasive and easier recover than traiditional surgery) great to see folks evaluating ALL their options.
